Here are the agricultural diseases caused by spores that we can detect in potato crops.
| Identification | Associated disease |
|---|---|
| Phytophthora infestans | Late blight |
| Alternaria solani | Alternaria blight (Early blight) |
| Alternaria alternata (small spores) | Alternaria blight (Brown spot) |
| Alternaria spp. (immature) | Alternaria blight |
| Botrytis cinerea | Grey mold |
| Fusarium spp. | Stem rot |
| Oomycete | — |
The presence of oomycetes recorded in our results does not directly correspond to an active disease in the crop. However, their detection serves as a biological indicator: it indicates environmental conditions favorable to the onset or development of diseases such as late blight.
The term Alternaria spp. encompasses all Alternaria species that cannot be accurately classified into the specific groups of Alternaria solani or Alternaria alternata. This includes immature or indistinct forms of Alternaria species that do not yet exhibit the characteristics necessary for accurate species identification.
